How Vidloo handles account, billing, and download data
This policy describes how Vidloo processes account information, billing records, service logs, and temporary download data while providing video download workflows.
Overview
Vidloo is a web-based video downloader. This page explains what information we collect while you use the service, why we collect it, and how it is used across authentication, billing, and downloads.
By using Vidloo, you acknowledge that certain technical and account data must be processed so the service can analyze supported links, manage your membership, and deliver files to your browser.
Account Data
Vidloo uses Clerk for authentication. When you sign in, we may process your Clerk user ID, display name, email address, and profile image so we can identify your account, show your current plan, and apply usage limits correctly.
We do not ask you to create a separate local password for Vidloo. Authentication credentials are handled by our identity provider.
Billing Data
Paid memberships are handled through Stripe. Vidloo stores the minimum billing data needed to manage subscriptions, such as your Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, subscription status, and renewal timing.
Vidloo does not store your full payment card number. Payment details are processed by Stripe under Stripe's own policies and compliance controls.
Downloads and Usage
When you analyze or download a supported link, Vidloo may temporarily process the source URL, platform metadata, selected quality, selected format, and download history needed to fulfill the request and enforce plan limits.
Downloaded files may be held temporarily on our infrastructure while the service finalizes the output and transfers the file to your browser. Temporary files may be deleted after delivery or after operational cleanup.
Analytics and Security
Vidloo may log service events such as request timing, failures, and quota usage to keep the platform stable, investigate abuse, and protect service availability.
We may also retain limited technical logs for debugging, fraud prevention, security monitoring, and system performance.
Your Choices
You can sign out of your account at any time. You can also manage or cancel a paid subscription from your account area when billing is active.
If you need help with account access or billing issues, contact the operator of the service using the support channel linked from the site or product dashboard.
